Here at Peach we hold our heads up high knowing that with every mouth-watering steak we serve comes from the very best butcher! For those that don’t know, our butcher’s are Aubrey Allen of Warwickshire. Aubrey Allen is a historic institution, holding a HM Queen’s Royal Warrant. If it’s good enough for the Queen then it is definitely good enough for us! Not only do they supply our long-reigning Monarch, but also some of Britain’s finest restaurants.
Having recently acquired some fresh new faces in our marketing team it seemed only fitting to take a trip to their headquarters in Coventry and check out whether they are as fabulous in real life as they are on paper – and let me tell you that they are!
Upon arrival it was hard to imagine that this prestigious butcher first set up shop over 80 years ago with a small butcher’s in Coventry. Though they have grown in size it was clear their vision and values were still the same as they ever were. While waiting in the reception we were greeted by a multitude of smiling faces all eager to help us on way to meeting Russell Allen, the Managing Director.
It was not long before Russell and Lisa, our direct point of contact for Aubrey, greeted us. Shortly after we were sat in Russell’s office discussing a plan of action to use our relationship to get more of Aubrey Allen onto our menus and specials and onto your plates! A plan for a re-launch of Sausage ‘O’ Clock was put into action, this is the happiest hour of the day where we put FREE sausages on our bar between 5pm and 6pm, perfect for an after work snack and plenty of ideas for upcoming events in Warwickshire, where Aubrey Allen are local to.
Having covered all our bases we bid our farewells to Russell and Lisa and were on our way, not before Hamish and Russell popped for a pint at one our pubs, the Star and Garter. It’s not rare to see Russell in our Warwickshire pubs and at events supported by Aubrey, lucky us! We have got lots of ideas in the pipelines to make use of this incredible connection that has been nurtured over the years so keep those eyes peeled and ears to the grounds for all the exciting things we have to come!
