Salads Raise Money For Sports Traider At The Embankment

 

The Embankment in Bedford has kicked off its next fundraising drive for Sports Traider to help local youngsters fulfil their sporting ambition and potential by launching a brand new seasonal dish on its menu that raises money for the cause.

 

The Bedford pub is making a donation for every Superfood Salad it sells to Sports Traider, a local youth-focused organisation offering kids the kit and support they need to get into sport, whatever their background.  Every time a guest orders the salad, the pub puts 25p into a fund to be used either for specific projects or to help pay for a major campaign this year.

 

“It’s great to work with Lance Haggith and all the Sports Traider team again to help support the brilliant work they do,” says The Embankment manager Ben Paul. “In the past, thanks to the generosity of our guests, we’ve been able to help many talented youngsters achieve their sporting dreams, and this year we’re going all-out to make it our best year yet.

 

“Come to the pub and order our Superfood Salad – you can’t miss it as it’s marked on our menu – and every time you do, we’ll make a donation to Sports Traider to give disadvantaged kids from the area they break they need.

 

“Right now, we’ve got a salad of black rice with shaved fennel, sprouting broccoli, chai seeds and pomegranate dressing which not only tastes delicious but is also a healthy option too.  Have it for a starter or main course and help us raise as much money as possible!” he says.

 

Lance Haggith, founder of Sports Traider says, “This is a great partnership that’s meant we’ve been able to help many talented youngsters in the past and we’re pleased to be aligned with The Embankment again to help even more kids to achieve ambitions that are not usually affordable for them.

 

“By having “my” salad when you come to the pub, you can do your bit and together we’ll support youngsters in the community who just need a step up.  Please use your knife and fork to support us!” he adds.
