Say hello to Simon Bishop, our new Property Director. Simon has joined us this month with a mission to hunt out new pubs that we can make peachy, as well as keep our existing ones that way.
Simon’s got over 20 years experience of buying and developing properties in the UK pub and leisure market and has worked with many of the big names in the industry, as well as being an independent consultant.
A chartered surveyor by background, Simon used to be Acquisitions Director for Rank Leisure, where for more than five years he helped them buy and develop new sites for their leisure businesses. Before that, he spent eight years at Scottish & Newcastle Retail where he looked after purchasing and developing sites for its managed pub and hotel divisions. He also worked for Whitbread in a similar role.
He’ll be bringing all that great experience of working in the pub and leisure market – and his little black book of contacts of course – to help us find new properties that fit nicely into the Peach fold. He’s already out there looking for leasehold, freehold, existing pubs or new leisure properties that we can take on, and is keen to talk to any businesses interested in selling.
