The German frankfurter, popularised in America, is more ‘on trend’ than ever before. No longer is the sausage in a bun confined to fast food trucks, funfairs and football grounds. Today we see artisan rolls, gourmet sausages and a variety of cool condiments. These sly dogs are becoming more popular by the day.
At Peach, we are proud to be involved in this exciting new sausage movement. So much so, that we have developed our own gourmet hot dog to give those Shorditch guys a run for their money.
Along with our friends at Aubrey Allen, The Almanack in Kenilworth has created an award-winning speciality hot dog. It has just won second place at the BPX Foodservice Sausage of the Year Awards – The Oscar’s of the Pig World some might say*!
Our secret recipe uses a range of speciality ingredients such as Maple-cured Gammon, Maple Syrup, Chipotle Chilli with Smoked Paprika and Fennel.
As Lucianne Allen from Aubrey Allen explained: “We just couldn’t resist proving that creating a high quality hot dog would show diners that this classic fast food could also be a fine one. Sausages are definitely going to be high on the menu this week and for many months to come.”
