It’s shaping up to be a cracking year for Peach. Winning best place to work in hospitality for the fifth year running last October, and, now The Embankment, The Thatch and The High Field are all award winners too. Individuality within our pubs leads to their success, and these pubs have recently been awarded for best in the class…
The High Field, Edgbaston
‘Birmingham’s Best Gastro Pub’
On Monday 6th June, The High Field was named Birmingham’s Best Gastro Pub at Birmingham’s Food, Drink and Hospitality Awards. All Birmingham’s top talent attended and it was with great pleasure that we took home the trophy in our category. Our General Manager and Peach Partner, Sarah Robinson, was thrilled to win, saying “We work hard to make The High Field a great place to eat, drink and enjoy times with friends and family, and we think we’ve created a good place to do that. Yet what we think is only a small part of it – having it recognised by our guests and by the movers and shakers in the city’s hospitality scene is what really counts and we’re thrilled to get their approval”.
A Peachy high five to all the team!
‘Best Pub in Oxfordshire’
Following the National Pub & Bar Awards 2016, The Thatch were honoured to be been named the, ‘Best pub in Oxfordshire’. Following this incredible news, our General Manager and Peach Partner, Evelin Rae and her team celebrated with a glass of bubbly. The feeling experienced by The Thatch team and all at Peach, was perfectly recapitulated by Evelin herself, “It’s a great honour to be named best in our county. With so many fine hostelries on our doorstep, we know there’s a lot of stiff competition out there, so it’s fantastic to be recognised by being a finalist. In the eight years we’ve been at the pub, we have invested a lot into it, bringing a new look and feel to the place, seasonal food and a quality drink offer served by people who’ve been well trained and who like me, love working here. We are proud of what we have achieved and even prouder at being able to represent the county at the awards”.
A big well done to Evelin and all at The Thatch!
‘Best Restaurant’
Bedfordshire is a county brimming with food and drink gems galore. From quirky, independent coffee shops to delightful restaurants, characterful pubs and microbreweries. Bedfordshire’s Food and Drink Awards unveiled some of our counties treasures and it is with great joy we were named ‘Best Restaurant’ at this year’s awards. It really goes to show that all the hard work the team at The Embankment give every day pays off, and it really is great to see them being recognised. Well done from all of us at Peach.
