Autumn brings us wonderful things - Peach Pubs

Autumn brings us wonderful things

As the season changes, so does our menu. So join us and hanker down to a hearty slow braise, or enjoy an Autumnal salad from our new menus, launching on Wednesday 3rd October. Autumn brings us wonderful things – berries, squashes, mushrooms, game and pies.

Hot topic at the moment is the Crown Prince Pumpkin. Lovingly cooked into a soup and paired with one of our sandwiches, it’s just perfect for a cosy lunch. If your appetite desires something more, opt for our 14 Hour Braised Beef & Ale Pie served with buttered mash, greens and gravy. Our steaks are from Aubrey Allen, who have stood firm in their commitment to sourcing the best beef from the British Isles. In a world where 80 per cent of steak consumed in this country is imported, we continue to deliver the good stuff, and commit to serving quality steaks every time.

One of our favourites from the new menu is our duck rillette from our new supplier, Cornish Charcuterie, it’s melt-in-the-mouth, flavourful and free-range. Based on the rugged coast of North Cornwall, they’re a like-minded producer, making award-winning British pâtés, rillettes and cured meats. The family use their own pigs, plus prime joints from carefully selected local farmers. And, if that wasn’t enough, packaging is kept to a minimum and the electricity used on the farm in 100 per cent renewable. We are happy we found them and we’re sure you will be too.

There’s also some delicious new cheeses. Our Autumn selection includes Ashlyn – a lovely citrusy goats’ cheese, Blue Monday – a smooth and salty blue dreamchild from Blur bassist Alex James, Brie De Nangis – a soft textured brie with deep mushroom flavour and a hand-made cheddar from Kent – Winterdale.
