Set in a tranquil setting with a stunning garden running down from the pretty 19th century pub to the River Tillingbourne at its foot, this is a place to hole up away from the outside world.
The low-ceilinged bar has nooks for sitting and nursing a pint of Shere Drop from the Surrey Hills Brewery which you can savour in front of a blazing fire, as well as a dining room serving delicious seasonal dishes.

The main street on which The Drummond sits on is lined with timber framed and flint cottages and are famous for the most fantastic chimneys. Albury has its own Vineyard located at the foot of the North Downs just by the Silent Pool, home also to the award-winning gin with legends relating to the pool itself.

Immersing yourself in the outdoors is how you will experience Albury at its finest. The surrounding areas offer excellent walks around the Surrey Hill’s. The river Tillingbourne attracts avid anglers from all over the country, as well as the Albury Estate offering some high profile shooting during the game season.
Silent Pool Gin Distillery on the Albury Estate
- The Silent Pool Gin Distillery is in the Surrey Hills on the Albury Estate in the local beauty spot know as Silent Pool. By the skilful hands of the distillers, each essential ingredient is carefully selected and, where possible, locally sourced. They offer an excellent distillery tour, and an opportunity to taste some of their excellent gins.
Polesdon Lacey 1400 Acre Estate
- Rich in history, the 1400 acre estate at Polesdon Lacey dates back to Roman times and boasts stunning views over the Surrey Hills. Today the estate is looked after by the National Trust and welcomes visitors all year round.
Albury Organic Vineyard
- A small, family run biodynamic vineyard located in the Surrey Hills. They produce some high quality organic English sparkling, and their vineyard tour is a great way to spend an afternoon.
Hatchlands Park
- Another member of the National Trusts portfolio, its 400 acres of rolling parkland and woodland make it one of the largest estates in the area and full of year-round seasonal colour.

The Drummond chefs cook with the best of British produce in season and for summer there’s so much to choose from; the best native fish, Devon crab, heirloom tomatoes and sweet English berries alongside free-range chicken and Jimmy Butler Blythborough pork, and the finest British grass-fed beef from Aubrey Allen, 28 day dry-aged for incredible flavour. All the pub’s steaks, Sunday roast beef joints and burgers are supplied by famous butcher Aubrey Allen, a name more commonly seen in Michelin-starred restaurants than local pubs.
