At Peach, we focus a lot on helping the community, both in our pubs, and overseas with The Peach Foundation. This is why for over eight years, the only bottled water we have sold in our pubs has been BELU. BELU gives 100% of its profits to WaterAid, with the aim that everyone, everywhere should have access to clean water, sanitation and hygiene, by 2030. By serving Belu Water we’re helping WaterAid to bring clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene to people worldwide. We’re proud to say that in 2018, we helped transform the lives of 189 people, with clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene. It takes £15 to transform one life, so that’s over three lives every week!
BELU is not just a nonprofit organisation, but the most ethical bottled mineral water available, and completely carbon neutral. All bottles are made from as much recycled glass and plastic as physically possible, and they are constantly pushing the boundaries of technology to improve this.
Friday 22nd March is World Water Day. A campaign focused on raising the awareness of clean water, for the 1 in 9 people that still don’t have access to it. Having already raised over £4 million for WaterAid and reaching 270,000 lives, they seem to be unstoppable.
We will be doing our bit for #WorldWaterDay by raising awareness of why we stock BELU in our pubs. The WaterAid led campaign encourages people around the world to raise awareness of the water crisis through social media and other awareness activity.
So thank you. Thank you for choosing BELU in our pubs, and helping us change precious lives. With BELU, we’re looking forward to help change many more in the years to come.
