There are not any vegetarians in the Peach Chef team and we really do love our fabulous meat, all of which is sourced from the UK, from the award winning steaks sourced from our friends at Aubrey Allen to our juicy Jimmy Butler Pork Sausages. That doesn’t mean we don’t love a great vegetarian dish, and we know that there are plenty of guests out there who choose to eat veggie grub all the time….
Over recent years, research has shown that the demand for more vegetarian options at Christmas is growing. 54% of people in the UK think there are not enough vegetarian options out there, but here at Peach – we think we’ve got plenty on offer to persuade you to join us. We understand how important it is to have lots of choice. Independent research showed that When asked how many vegetarian dishes customers would like to see when dining out at Christmas, almost two thirds (62%) feel two or three meat-free options would give a better choice. So how many do we have, I hear you ask?
Of our Starters available, two out of four are vegetarian (three if you’re a pescatarian!). The first of these is our stunning Leek & Baked Potato Soup, with Clotted Cream & Crispy Leeks – a real winter warmer! Second up (and dedicated you our vegetarian friends, the Veggie Board for One – Roast Field Mushroom, Spinach & Brie, Spiced Houmous & Crudités, Parsnip & Cheddar Cakes, Beetroot Relish & Warm Pitta.
As well as the traditional turkey, we’ve created some great meat free dishes for main course. Our Roast Squash, Spinach & Barley Beef Wellington with Vegetarian Gravy, is a filling twist on an old favourite. And for those who love Fish, there is a tender Fillet of Sea Trout with Horseradish Potato Cake, Caper & Almond Butter Sauce; a sweet and sour delight!
And for Pud? Take your pick! From our Christmas Pudding to our St Clements Cheesecake, anything goes for our good vegetarian friends!
But remember – the most important thing to take away from this is that we will always do our best to accommodate any dietary requirements. The beauty of a fresh, homemade dish – is that we can!
